Specialist Care & Strategy for Christian Leadership
Sustaining Those Who Lead.
Evidence-based, retainer-structured support combining professional supervision,
strategic coaching, and trauma recovery for pastors, principals, heads of school, and the boards that support them — across Australia.
In conservative traditions, we rightly champion doctrinal purity and robust theology. But this intense focus on correctness can inadvertently create a dangerous gap — between what we know of God intellectually and what we experience of Him daily.
Because you lead others — a congregation, a staff, a school community — you carry the weight of their spiritual needs alongside your own, often while maintaining a public face of strength. Over time, the accumulated burden of caring for others, institutional conflict, and unresolved wounds creates something far more serious than simple tiredness.
We believe that Moral injury (the damage done when our values are violated) is now one of the primary causes of breakdown in Christian leadership. We do not see this as a weakness. Rather it is the cost of caring deeply, for too long, without adequate support.
You are not alone. And you do not have to stay in this place.
We do not offer generic advice. Every service is tailored to the distinctive demands and vulnerabilities of Christian leadership — built on world-class Australian research and delivered on a retained basis for ongoing, consistent support.

Intervention for moral injury & vocational trauma
Evidence-based methodology for high-stress contexts
I am a pastor, theologian, and strategist with a lifelong commitment to the spiritual health of Christian leaders. My Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Health — with the thesis currently under examination through the Australian University of Theology and Melbourne School of Theology — focuses on the intersection of Reformed theology and lived spiritual health, producing a world-first, evidence-based framework for the spiritual health and care of Christian leaders.
I offer Pastoral Narrative Disclosure (PND) as a moral injury intervention for Christian leaders facing burnout and vocational trauma. This methodology was originally designed to help those in high-demand, high-stress vocations safely process moral injury, spiritual exhaustion, and traumatic experiences. I have adapted and applied it specifically to the Christian leadership context — for pastors and school leaders alike.
I am Reformed in theology, though not denominationally aligned, which means I can serve leaders across traditions without the conflicts of interest that come from institutional membership. My practice is external, independent, and entirely confidential.
I know what it is to carry the weight of Christian leadership — the sleepless nights, the institutional pressures, the slow erosion of joy in the calling you once loved. That experience informs everything I do. My mission is to ensure that no Christian leader has to face that journey alone.
Built on world-first Australian Doctor of Ministry research, our framework identifies the four key relationships that sustain a Christian leader's spiritual health — with God, with their true (Christlike) self, with others, and with their environment. It is theologically rigorous, evidence-driven, and practically transformative.
My doctoral research suggests that Christian spiritual health is not a vague ideal but a measurable pattern across four relationships: with God, with our true (Christlike) self, with others, and with our environment. When these four are strong, leaders flourish; when they fray under sustained pressure, burnout and moral injury follow.
This is not generic self-help spirituality. It is a theologically coherent, research-validated model that respects your confessional commitments — helping you see exactly where spiritual strain is forming, and what preventative care and restoration look like in practice.
"A pastor cannot give to the congregation what they do not have. Effectiveness is rooted in serving from a place of wholeness, not exhaustion."
Under pressure, leaders drift into performance, drivenness, or self-protection. We help you name what is happening and rebuild calling identity, congruence, and wise boundaries.
02
Others (Community)
Senior leadership is often lonely, and strain shows up as isolation, conflict fatigue, and cynicism. We develop calm, non-reactive, faithful ways of relating that sustain you when relationships are costly.
03
God (Presence)
Pressure can quietly reduce faith to "going through the motions." Through spiritual direction we renew honest prayer, lament, vocational discernment, and communion — so you lead from God's presence, not duty.
04
Environment (Creation & Sabbath)
Chronic urgency erodes attentiveness, joy, and rest. We help you recover sabbath rhythms and Jesus' pattern of withdrawal, establishing sustainable work–rest patterns as fuel for faithful leadership.
What the Research Shows
Why This Work Matters
The figures below focus on pastors, where the data is most established — but the same moral and spiritual load falls on principals, heads of school, and senior Christian leaders. The effectiveness of narrative disclosure, professional supervision, and evidence-based leadership strategy is well documented in the research literature.
"Only one in three pastors considered themselves healthy across spiritual, physical, emotional, vocational, and financial metrics. Thirty-eight percent of pastors have considered quitting full-time ministry in the past year."
Barna Research Group, The State of Pastors (2021) barna.com →
"80% of pastors say they will not be in ministry ten years later and only a fraction make it a lifelong career. On average, seminary trained pastors last only five years in church ministry"
Francis A Schaeffer Institute of Church Leadership Development SoulShepherding.org →
"Seventy to seventy-five percent of pastors report experiencing significant stress and fatigue — yet the majority say they have no formal support structure in place. The church must do better at caring for those who care for others."
Our practice is focused entirely on the distinctive challenges of Christian vocational leadership. Whether you lead a congregation, a school, or a Christian organisation, the weight you carry is real — and you deserve specialised support.
