Your experience. Your role. The wider picture.

I want to understand what you are carrying before we work out what needs to change. These frameworks help us look beyond the immediate problem and make room for what matters.

Making sense of your experience in role.

I use the Transforming Experience Framework (TEF) in professional supervision. It helps us explore your experience as a person, within an organisation, in a wider context and in connection with your values and purpose.

Your role sits where these parts of your experience meet. We look at how you take up that role, what others expect of you and how you want to respond.

01

You as a person

What are you feeling, thinking and noticing? We can explore your experience, assumptions and the patterns you bring into your work.

02

Your organisation

How do authority, relationships and expectations shape what happens? We look at the organisation as well as the people involved.

03

The wider context

What community, cultural or institutional pressures are part of the picture? These can shape your choices even when they are outside your control.

04

Values, meaning and purpose

What gives your work meaning, and what do you want to stay true to? TEF calls this connection to source. For some leaders it includes faith. For others it is expressed through their values and commitments.

TEF is an established framework that I use in my practice. Read more about TEF at NIODA .

Four relationships to pay attention to.

My D.Min work in Spiritual Health explores our relationships with God, with our true self in Christ, with others and with our environment. These relationships are connected. Pressure in one area can be felt in the others.

For Christian leaders, this gives us a way to reflect on calling, spiritual health and the life that supports our leadership. I use it to open a conversation about what is happening and what may need care.

01

Your relationship with God

Is there room for honest prayer, lament and listening? How are you experiencing God in the middle of the responsibilities you carry?

02

Your relationship with yourself

How are you living out your calling and growing in Christlikeness? We can notice where pressure has drawn you into performance, self-protection or losing touch with who you are.

03

Your relationship with others

Who knows how you are really doing? We look at the relationships that sustain you, the ones that are difficult and the boundaries that may need attention.

04

Your relationship with your environment

What room is there for rest, Sabbath and attentiveness to creation? We consider how your surroundings and daily rhythms support or wear down your spiritual health.

We begin with what is real for you.

You might bring a difficult staff conversation, a decision that has stayed with you, a strained relationship or the feeling that your work has taken more from you than you expected.

I use these frameworks to ask useful questions and keep the wider picture in view. We work together to understand the situation and consider your next steps.

Support that fits your context

TEF supports my professional supervision practice. The Spiritual Health Framework brings the contribution of my doctoral work, particularly for Christian leaders. We agree how these approaches fit your needs and beliefs.
